Stone Federation Part L Seminar
Revised Building Regulations Part L to be published this April will have implications for indigenous natural stones traditionally used as masonry and cladding particularly in respect of frost damage. New and innovative solutions are required for buildings where the outer ‘skin’ is natural stone.
To ensure the stone industry is not disadvantaged, Stone Federation Great Britain has commissioned a major study to provide training and guidance and in particular:
• innovative and sustainable solutions to the changed circumstances to Part L
• investigations to show how traditional stonework can continue to be fixed taking into account increased cavity sizes
• education and training for the sector as well as clients and natural stone specifiers in how these new circumstances and demands can be complied with.
This information will be presented to Federation at two seminars held in February. The first will take place at BRE Watford on 4 February, and the second in Manchester on 25 February.
To book your space at either of these seminars, email sandra@stonefed.org.uk.
Please note, these seminars are for STONE FEDERATION MEMBERS ONLY.
