Criteria | Nominees must adhere to the following criteria:
- The nominee must be an employee of a Stone Federation member
- The nominee must be in a recognised apprentice scheme
- The nominee must be at least at, or coming up to, the end for their second year of training and have reached Level 2 NVQ or beyond
Prizes | The winner will receive:
- Perpetual Trophy
- Certificate
- Tools to the value of £200
- A cheque for £100
- A feature in Natural Stone Specialist Magazine
- A year’s subscription to Natural Stone Specialist Magazine
- A feature on the Stone Federation website and in all publicity material
The employer will also receive a certificate showing that the winner of the Trainee Mason of the Year 2012 was trained by them along with a full profile of their company appearing with any press coverage announcing the winner.
The college where the trainee attended will also receive a certificate showing that the winner of the Trainee Mason of the Year 2012 was taught by them along with a full profile of their college appearing with any press coverage announcing the winner.
The Closing Date | The closing date for entries is 1700hrs on Friday 14th September 2012.
The Presentation | The prize giving will take place at the prestigious Natural Stone Awards cermony at Lord’s Cricket Ground on 30th November 2012.
