Natural Stone - Installation in Bathrooms, Shower Enclosures & Wet Rooms
The code is based on the relevant parts of a number of British Standards relating to the design, supply, and installation of natural stone and incorporates the requirements of the latest current good practice.
It sets out the principal factors involved when deciding to use natural stone in bathrooms, shower enclosures, and wet rooms. It considers stone selection, design, support method, installation, protection, and maintenance, in order to assist in avoiding common errors, aesthetic disappointment, or outright failure.
The guidance includes the appropriate selection of stone and also deals with the requirements of the support method for the stone
This document is applicable to commercial and residential developments, hotels, and private residential properties and includes both horizontal and associated vertical surfaces for a number of applications including walls, floors, vanity tops, and bath surrounds.
