tuffbed bedding mortar
tuffbed is a pre-blended high-performance product sharing the characteristics of its tuffbed-2 pack stable mate.
With the correct ratio mortar and tuffgrit aggregate already combined in the sack, tuffbed is particularly well suited to smaller projects, although it can also be used as a direct substitute for tuffbed 2-pack.
tuffbed 2-pack bedding mortar
tuffbed 2-pack is a natural bedding mortar system featuring a low carbon footprint. The product is made up of natural, polymer and additive-free high-performance 2-pack dry mortar, mixed with our special tuffgrit aggregate blend.
The unique angular and interlocking structure of tuffgrit aggregate plays a major part in the mixed product's final performance. The overall strength, flexibility and elasticity of the mortar on its own is enough to meet the BS7533 Standards for modular paving.
tuffbond
Sometimes overlooked, tuffbond priming mortar is a crucial component in modern pavement engineering.
The strong adhesive qualities of tuffbond ensures that paving is properly bonded to the bedding layer beneath. If the bedding layer is going onto a concrete base, it is also usual to prepare the surface with a layer of tuffbond before pouring the bedding.
tuffgrit
Steintec's tuffgrit is a specially graded crushed rock aggregate blended specifically to allow optimum interlocking of angular particles for use in high performance bound pavement construction where heavy trafficking and longevity are a requirement.
Its interlocking characteristics are key to the final strength, permeability and frost proof characteristics of bedding made by blending it with tuffbed 2-pack or tuffset G in the correct ratios.
tufftop
Steintec’s tufftop is a high-performance jointing mortar suitable for all types of natural stone and modular paving.
Thoroughly mixed with a high water content, tufftop becomes a plastic, free-flowing slurry grout which is easy to work with and makes pavement surface cleaning very straightforward.
Its natural ingredients prevent the shrinkage problems associated with the polymer additives used by other manufacturers, and with its optimum elastic modulus, high performance that’s achieved without compromise.
tuffset G
tuffset G is a revolutionary high-performance product, designed for early heavy-trafficking and other time-critical repairs.
It is also the ONLY 3-hour early trafficking product that achieves FULL BS7533 compliance.
It can also be mixed with tuffgrit for a permeable jointing mortar.
tuffset 60
