The start of December saw the Federation welcome members to the Danubius Hotel, London for our annual Member’s Day and AGM.
The event provided Federation members with a chance to find out all that we had been up to over the past twelve months with our Annual Review Film (Federation members can click here to view the film).
The review film was followed by a number of short presentations by some of the industry’s leading experts on some of the ‘hot topics’ from the past year in the natural stone sector. CE Marking, European legislation, Part L and Digital Marketing and Social Media were all covered in what proved to be a popular new addition to the event.
Each of the speakers then went on to hold workshop sessions focussing on their areas of expertise. These were found to be extremely useful by delegates as it provided them with the opportunity to have their specific queries answered.
As is the tradition, the AGM also saw the handover of the Federation Presidency from Realstone’s Iain Kennedy to Land Engineering’s Graeme Hadden. Graeme gave a short speech detailing some of his plans for the Federation over the coming two years.
The day was rounded off with a gala dinner that provided members with the chance to catch up with old contacts as well as to forge new industry relationships.
